*Numerology Part 2

NUMEROLOGY – Part 2 of 3names2

AngelsAboveSmallThere seems to be a part of us that is yearning to know who we really are. Each one of us suspects, or knows, that we are more than just an animal walking the Earth.

The human aspect of our true spirit can only use the information that we can gather from around our Earthly existence to decipher the esoteric knowledge hidden within it.

What do we know so far?

  1. We live on Planet Earth, which is turning constantly.
  2. We live within a Universe, a Galaxy, under a Sun, a Moon and Stars in a fathomless sky, all moving around.
  3. We are either predominantly male or female.
  4. We are a child of parents, may have siblings, mates and children of our own.
  5. We are born and live in certain places and have a certain nationality and ancestry.
  6. We may have been born into a religion, speak a certain language, educated in a certain way.
  7. We are good at some things and not so good at other things.
  8. We have fears, hopes, dreams and ambitions.
  9. We are conceived on a certain date, and born on another.
  10. We have a personal name, one given to us or one we use.

In a forever changing environment only a few things remain constant.

grandmums19The time we were born.

The first name with which we were endowed.

Where and who we are right now.

I will repeat what I wrote in Part 1:

What you hold to be true for you reflects your reality, and so any system can offer a mystical insight for you, no matter how bizarre, irregular, unreliable or non-universal. But what about Numerology?

The physical, material, chemical and organic world is constructed on a basic mathematical system. It is measurable, using Natural Geometry (‘geo’, being of earth, and ‘metria’ being measurement).

Since the first conscious study of life, the earliest scientists were mathematicians. They measured things. They measured the size, shape and distance between things. This gives us a perspective.golden mean spiral

Our personal identity is based on a measured relationship between us and everything else. In so doing we become conscious of ourselves with regard to the whole.

Numerology is thought to have originated with the Chinese sages around 4,000 years ago, recorded on a turtle shell, and gradually filtered west. This is when our self-assessment, in a measurable form, leapt from one of imagery, intuition and a primal response, to one that was written, using symbols, calculated and recorded. This is when the left brain co-joined with the right brain in a conscious way, activating the pineal gland, or ‘third eye’ and triggering consciousness.

Therefore Numerology works because we can respond to it with both left and right brain functions.

numberoneThe original number is ‘1’.

Beyond ‘1’ is infinity and eternity, i.e. nothing and everything – ‘0’

Every other number is ‘1’ + another ‘1’, then another ‘1’ and so on.

Before writing came into form, we would see a collection of ‘1’s as a picture. A group of articles, say oranges, in a heap on the ground would look a certain way; if one orange was removed it would look different; if one orange was added it would look different again. Three oranges may have looked like a triangle; four oranges may have looked like a rectangle, etc. The shape becomes clear when a straight line is drawn from the centre of each ‘orange’. Other things were observed and ‘counted’: how many fingers on a hand; how many trees on the horizon; how many hills in the landscape; how many huts in a village?

So the numbers we use today were invented by man – a symbol that represented a picture. The number cards in a pack of playing cards, demonstrate numbers in a pattern very well.  The numbers 1 to 9 were originally pictographs – shapes in the form of things or dots. The abacus (strings of beads) was an early instrument for adding these dot-things into stacks of groups – 10s. Nine beads plus one would become ‘0’ on the first row and ‘1’ on the second row. It is still used today.

Then along came Morse Code (an extension of jungle drums), the telegraph and then telephones, and then radios, TVs, and computers. All these things work on the ‘1’ and ‘0’, a binary system.  ‘1’ or ‘0’ is ‘on’ or ‘off’.

ON or OFF.

Since using electricity, it was seen as a simple and very effective way of sending a signal. Bleep or No-bleep.

BUT this binary system is more – it seems that it was the very first manifestation of matter.

First, we are told, there was No-thing, ‘0’. Yet it was Every-thing, in an unseen, unknowable form. Then, something no-one has ever been able to explain or understand – we just have to accept that it happened – No-thing started to become Some-thing, a  ‘one’. OFF became ON.

All matter is ON, or ‘1’ and…Everything that is not yet matter is ‘0’, or OFF.

The human mind works in the same way: that which switches us on, and that which switches us off; that which feels right and that which feels wrong; the time to act and the time to be still; the time to speak and the time to be silent; a time to hunt and a time to sleep. In this way the human has survived, by responding to this simple, beautiful, magical signal.

I want to just add that neither ON or OFF is right or wrong. All the opposites are part of the whole, just two sides of the same coin – just as valuable, important and powerful as the other.

numberoneBack to Numerology:

We have learned to use the numbers 1 to 9, and zero. And so these numerical symbols have entrenched themselves in our psyche and become real. But remember, behind the symbols lies the original ON/OFF signal.

1 = 1     2 = 1+1      3 = 1+1+1     and so on – simple Maths – Yes?

These shapes, or  notations, or numbers, have become universal and accepted symbols, 1234567890, and people have been having a field day with them ever since. Mathematicians – and every single student of every science held within the Natural world, has been observing, experimenting, calculating, testing, evaluating and wondering about numbers since their first conception. What can be done with numbers is seemingly endless. All form displays a numeric code and certain codes have an intrinsic power, or magic. (Sacred Geometry)

Now that we have evolved alongside numbers, it is almost as though they are a part of us: they are in us – body and soul.

And this is why Numerology works.

Numerology, like Astrology, is a science based on an understanding of the mathematical, scientific, material universe, melded with an understanding of the human psyche, or psychology, (which is why they have not yet been fully accepted as sciences by the science purists). But it is only through the study of the human aspect, and how the psyche (or mind) and the function of the brain create our responses to what we observe and experience, that we discover our relationship to the world around us. Humans behave according to a basic instinct and an unconscious intuition, or sixth sense. Many people are raising this two-sided brain function into full conscious awareness. After a period of what seems like a long sleep, many people are thinking ‘outside the box’ and some are truly inspired.

To calculate your own personal number and discover the information held within it, refer to the basic system shown in Part 1.

When you know your number, how will you know what it means?

(In Part 3 we will look at each number and what it represents)

Quite simply, we probably base this knowledge on past observations. Over 4 millennium, those who have studied the subject have found patterns, groups of people all displaying similar, if not identical qualities. And these patterns have become associated with the number. These characteristics and qualities are also reflected in Nature. The construction of the material world is mathematical, numerical and geometrical – and we are a part of that world, both Earthly and Cosmic.

We can look at this in a very simplistic way and say ‘I am a 6’, for example, but we can look much deeper. Using Numerology, all the numbers and letters in our personal data can be computed in different ways and so the information can be vast.

One more point to consider is this. Some Numerologists, like Astrologists, dowsers, palm-readers etc may use more than science. They study the data, yes, but some of them ‘tune into’ the subject in a different, more subtle way. They can perceive things that are not obvious. They can see co-incidences, patterns, anomalies and unique configurations and their sixth-sense may tell them something extra. A psychic reader may come up with something inexplicable.

WARNING Anyone earning their living from this will use marketing ploys, just like any other marketeer, so be careful. We must all maintain our own freedom of choice, based on our own skills and intuition, higher guidance and self-determination. Beware any reader who tells you to do something based on their interpretation. Guard against the lures of flattery, curiosity and delusion.names3

You can all do your own further research into this, but for the purpose of the exercise, I volunteered myself to a Numerologist. In the interests of research I am willing to be Guinea-pig, even though I can do my own Numerology.

The Numerologist gave me a free taster and lots of reassurances about his security and my safeguards. He also offered his own story of discovery to Numerology, including his intensive training. The free taster, beautifully presented, told me what I already knew about myself, and have already read in a good book, but was comprehensive and eloquent. It is always interesting to have a stranger reflect it back to you. He then offered a complete life profile, past, present and future, as well as 9 e-manuals, 3 software sites to do readings, and tuition, plus an extra relationship reading – for a payment. I ventured on and paid £48. (65$ +tax)

What came back was very impressive. The Numerologist gave me a complete overview of my life, including seven years yet to happen in 154 pages. As well as showing well-defined years and cycles, different aspects of my expression, soul path and personality (negative and positive) and more, he also gave me a complete year-by-year, month-by-month and day-by-day forecast from this moment to seven years hence. Judging by my knowledge of what has already happened, it was accurate, not in specific events, but trends. Personally, I am wary of future predictions, although this Numerologist avoided specific predictions and offered only trends.

He used his expertise to do the calculations, his knowledge  from training with a traditional source and his time and effort and excellent presentation from his own enterprise. If you cannot do this for yourself, I consider it very good value.

Our circumstances, especially our future, can change second by second – as we change. We may have many possible outcomes according to how we change (how much and how fast) – thank goodness, because if it were all set in stone we would have no freedom of choice and no room for improvement. Nevertheless, it is useful to know our own potential and limitations within our own scope.

As a wise man once said, there are many paths to our destination.peace3

In Part 3, I shall be looking at the individual numbers and what they represent.
