*The Great Bell Chant

“May the sound of this Bell penetrate deep into the Cosmos, even in the darkest spots,

Living beings are able to hear it clearly so that all suffering in them can cease.

Understanding comes into their heart and they transcend the path of sorrow and death.

The Universal Dharma Door is already open, the sound of the rising tide is heard clearly; the miracle happens:

A beautiful child appears in the heart of the lotus flower.

A single drop of this compassionate water is enough to bring back the refreshing spring to our mountains and rivers.

Listen to the Bell: I feel the afflictions in me begin to dissolve; my mind calm; my body relaxed.

A smile is born on my lips, following the sound of the Bell.

My breath brings me back to the safe island of mindfulness in the gardens of my heart.

The Flowers of Peace bloom beautifully.”

*St Valentine

St. Valentine’s Day – February 14th

Love

Love

St. Valentine was a Roman Priest in the time of Emperor Claudius II, C3rd AD.

Claudius persecuted Christians and prohibited the marriage of young people on the hypothesis that unmarried soldiers fought better than married soldiers, and so Father Valentine married young couples in secret.

Father Valentine was eventually caught, imprisoned and tortured and one legend surrounding his actions while in prison is as follows:

“One of the men who was to judge him, in line with the Roman law at the time, was a man called Asterius, who’s daughter was blind. Alledgedly, Father Valentine prayed with and healed the young girl with such astonishing effect that Asterius himself became Christian as a result.”

In the year 269 AD, Father Valentine was sentenced to a three part execution of a beating, stoning, and finally decapitation all because of his stand for Christian marriage. The story goes that the last words he wrote were in a note to Asterius’ daughter. He inspired today’s romantic missives by signing it, “from your Valentine.”

Valentine’s martyrdom has not gone unnoticed by the general public. In fact, Whitefriars Street Church, in London, is one of three churches that claim to house the remains of Valentine. Today, many people make the pilgrimage to the church to honor the courage and memory of this Christian Saint and Father Valentine has come to be known as the patron saint of lovers.

<<<>>>

The popular customs associated with Saint Valentine’s Day undoubtedly had their origin in a conventional belief generally held in England and France during the Middle Ages, that on 14 February, i.e. half way through the second month of the year, the birds began to pair. Thus in Chaucer’s Parliament of Foules we read:

“For this was sent on Seynt Valentyne’s day
When every foul cometh there to choose his mate.”

For this reason the day was looked upon as specially consecrated to lovers and as a proper occasion for writing love letters and sending lovers’ tokens. Both the French and English literatures of the fourteenth and fifteenth centuries contain allusions to this practice.

In the Paston Letters, Dame Elizabeth Brews writes to her cousin about a match she hopes to make for her daughter, addressing the favoured suitor:

“And, cousin mine, upon Monday is Saint Valentine’s Day and every bird chooses himself a mate, and if it like you to come on Thursday night, and make provision that you may abide till then, I trust to God that ye shall speak to my husband and I shall pray that we may bring the matter to a conclusion.”

Shortly after the young lady herself wrote a letter to the same man addressing it:

“Unto my rightwell beloved Valentine, John Paston Esquire”.

*Dropping-out et al

How many of us at sometime have said “I want to be free!”

How many of us want to drop-out, opt-out, find love-and-peace, get out of the matrix, live off-the-grid, be released from the grip of authoritarian control…?

What do we have to give up, be released by, get away from, to find that freedom? Are we feeling the call of the wild? Is Nature yelling at us to come back and find our roots? Or is it the voice of our soul – spirit – self  desperately calling us out of our hypno-induced amnesia to wake-up and get back on the right path? Do we have to be in remote isolation just to be what we were born to be?

During this classic philosophic discussion, the inimitable and immortal voices of four great thinkers may enlighten us to the pros and cons of ‘dropping-out’ in…

The Lindisfarne Gospels

“The Holy Island of Lindisfarne is a tidal island off the north-east coast of England. It is also known just as Holy Island. It constitutes the civil parish of Holy Island in Northumberland. Holy Island has a recorded history from the 6th century. It was an important centre of Celtic Christianity under Saints Aidan of Lindisfarne, Cuthbert, Eadfrith of Lindisfarne and Eadberht of Lindisfarne. After Viking invasions and the Norman conquest of England a priory was re-established. A small castle was built on the island in 1550”. (Wiki)

“The Lindisfarne Gospels, one of the most magnificent manuscripts of the early Middle Ages, was written and decorated at the end of the 7th century by the monk Eadfrith, who became Bishop of Lindisfarne in 698 and died in 721.

*Finland: Berry Healthy and Hearty

Finland

Finland is so far north normal arable farming is not possible and diets dependent on reindeer have prevailed, but in a study in 1972 the people were found to be suffering malnutrition. Turning their attention to indigenous berries and finding ways to produce them in greater quantities improved their nutritional health greatly, making these northerly Fins the most healthy now in Scandinavia.

Examples: bog bilberry, lingonberry, crowberry, cloudberry, sea buckthorn, arctic raspberry, cranberry.

*History of the Passport

britpassport

A brief history of the passport, from a royal letter to a microchip

by Leo Benedictus for The Guardian, Friday 17 November 2006

In the month of Nisan in the 20th year of the ancient Persian king Artaxerxes (around 450BC in new money), the prophet, who was working as a royal cup-bearer, is granted letters from the king requesting the governors of the lands beyond the Euphrates to grant him safe passage to Judah. The purpose of Nehemiah’s visit, incidentally, was to rebuild the walls of Jerusalem.

In Britain, the earliest surviving reference to a “safe conduct” document appears during the reign of Henry V, in an Act of Parliament dated 1414. At that time, documents like these could be issued by the king to anyone, whether they were English or not. Foreign nationals even got theirs free of charge, while English subjects had to pay. Needless to say, the monarch did not – and still does not – need a safe conduct document.

From 1540, the granting of travelling papers became the business of the Privy Council. By this point the term “passport” was being used, although whether it originated with the idea of people passing through maritime ports or through the gates in city walls (“portes” in French) remains a matter for debate. A passport from this period, issued on June 18 1641 and signed by Charles I, still exists. From 1794, the office of the secretary of state took control of issuing passports, a function that the Home Office retains today. Records remain of every British passport granted from this time, although they continued to be available to foreign nationals and were written in French until 1858, when the passport first acquired its role as a British identity document. Nevertheless, passports were not generally required for international travel until the first world war.

It was in the early 20th century that passports as we would recognise them today began to be used. The first modern British passport, the product of the British Nationality and Status Aliens Act 1914, consisted of a single page, folded into eight and held together with a cardboard cover. It was valid for two years and, as well as a photograph and signature, featured a personal description, including details such as “shape of face”, “complexion” and “features”. The entry on this last category might read something like: “Forehead: broad. Nose: large. Eyes: small.” Remarkably, some travellers claimed to find this dehumanising. Following an agreement among the League of Nations to standardise passports, the famous “old blue” was issued in 1920. Apart from a few adjustments to its duration and security features, the old blue remained a steady symbol of the touring Briton until it gradually began to be replaced by the burgundy-coloured European version in 1988.

The passports of other countries are, on the whole, remarkably similar to Britain’s, although some do have their quirks. The new Nicaraguan passport, for instance, boasts 89 separate security features, including “bidimensional barcodes”, holograms and watermarks, and is reputed to be one of the least forgeable documents in the world. The Israeli passport, through no flaw in its design, must be one of the most useless, as it is not accepted by 23 different Muslim countries, nor by Cuba or North Korea. The Vatican, incidentally, has no immigration controls, but it does issue passports. The Pope, among his other honours, always carries “Passport No 1”.

The passports of the future will feature embedded microchips and biometric data, such as photographs, fingerprints and iris patterns. Malaysia was the first country to introduce this technology, and Australia, New Zealand, Japan, Sweden, the UK, the US, Germany, the Republic of Ireland and Poland, among others, have recently followed.

*Lunar Calendar

aaaaaaNature’s 8 points of celebration through the year were re-dated according to the Roman calendar, which ignores the fine tuning of Sun, Moon and Earth in synchronisation with each other.

The constantly shifting phases of the moon do not easily fit into a 12-month Gregorian calendar and a 12-month solar year. The 13-month Lunar year is still practised in many cultures around the world for good reason – it synchronises the bio-rhythms of our planet and all the creatures that live instinctively with it.

The loss of this essential wisdom has had a detrimental effect on the mental, emotional, physical and spiritual health of our human family but we can easily reclaim it just by observing it. When our minds are aware of these cycles, the body rhythms follow automatically.

As an example, in 2015 the winter solstice was traditionally on the 21st of December, with 3 days when the sun ‘stands still’. With the sun at its lowest point on the shortest days we can look to the full moon to light the darkness. A rare full moon in Cancer on 25th December, Christmas Day, was a welcome Light, and so this would be the Lunar Solstice.

8-Point Lunar Year 2016

  1. Imbolc is the real start of Spring, so the new moon in Aquarius starts the lunar light on 8th February
  2. Vernal Equinox, equal half day and half night, equates with the waxing half-moon in Gemini on 15th March
  3. Beltane fires look best on a dark night. The dark earth is where the seed sleeps until germination, and the dark womb is where conception takes place, so no-moon keeps things in the dark in Taurus on 6th May
  4. Summer solstice This year, both the Full Moon and Sun take centre stage at the pinnacle of the year
  5. Lammas sees late summer fruits swelling with goodness, and healthful days for the pregnant mother, with the waxing half-moon in Virgo on 10th August
  6. Autumn equinox equal half days and half nights again as summer falls away, but has provided a full harvest, a full womb, and a waning half-moon on 23rd September
  7. Samhain, All-Haloed-Souls’ Eve with prayers for the incoming and outgoing souls, a mass of candles to light their way and a no-moon in Scorpio on 30th October
  8. Winter solstice is the end of the road as the sun dips down to its lowest point, 3days of darkness as it stands still. We give gratitude for the year and our expectations give birth to the new sun, the new-born, the new life to come, with the new moon in Capricorn on 29th Dec

*A Synchrotron

A Synchrotron – or Particle Accelerator – in the UK

After following my proverbial nose all the way from the old Greenwich Observatory in London, through its various moves around the country since 1674, I find one of its offshoots at Harwell, near Devizes in Wiltshire. The UK’s ‘Diamond’ Synchrotron is a particle accelerator for the latest advances in nano-technology.

This scientific centre is an interesting neighbour to the ancient stone circle at Avebury, which leads me to wonder if a stone circle is also a ‘particle’, or ‘energy’, accelerator’?
I would expect scientists today to scoff at this idea, and yet once the idea that our ancestors were highly intelligent is accepted, the possibility seems less absurd. During the megalithic age many stone structures were erected world-wide leaving modern man to wonder why, but as an investigator of these ancients sites for more than two decades, I am convinced that their builders knew exactly how they worked and how they benefited humankind.
However, there is one difference that comes to mind:  whereas the particle accelerators today (LHC at CERN) seek to split atoms into sub-atomic particles, and then split those sub-atomic particles into nano-particles to release hitherto unknown energy forms like neutrinos, mini black holes, dark matter or dark energy, there is no present evidence to show that the stone circles destroyed the energy particles they were accelerating.
These megalithic sites stand derelict and unused today, and a sceptic may add that the occupants must have eliminated themselves, in which case our scientists need to proceed with caution. Interested parties have no agreement on the age of the stone circles and why they stand alone, other than the cause “must have been a global cataclysm”. Perhaps this could be open to further investigation.

*Outer Space v. Interstellar

Outer Space v. Interstellar

worlds 3

If you watch the documentary below, ask yourself how you know if any of the ‘science’ presented, including anecdotes of ‘space’ travel, is real – provably real. It occurs to me that most, if not all, of the images that we are given of space may be CGIs. The woman astronaut says she has travelled to space several times – which part of space, I ask – far space or near space?

I question that any Earth living being has been further than our upper atmosphere, through or beyond our electro-magnetic shield (Van Allan Belts). I believe that in the early attempts to leave Earth they sent animals there and learned that it was not possible. Did they show us a living healthy animal that had been… and returned?

Being conscious, aware, and the ultimate observer, must make us question information received. If our wonderful space technology can give us ‘photos’ of far-off galaxies, why can’t it give us sensible, detailed photos of our moon, including the rear-side? It is not a negative thing to be sceptical, it is a way to separate the truth from an illusion. This documentary states that it is about the ‘science’ behind the making of a film – it is the information used, apparently, to give us the impression that the film may be a real possibility. It may be. I really enjoyed the film and the subject, that is not in question here. I question the ‘science’.

I have always believed in other worlds, other life-forms, other non-Earth beings and other dimensions of reality. And I believe that our Earth bodies are created from the Earth for Earth life. There is another way to travel and that requires mastering the mind, especially the Higher Mind, the spirit-mind. There is, I believe, another aspect to the human being  that is non-Earth-physicality…

*Alone-ness

Roadways move beneath my feet

And winds brush through my hair

Great suns slide across my sky

While Moon-tides rise and fall.

Tomorrows are just yesterdays

Not yet arrived today

And silence is a noise I trust

To hear the Buzzards call.

Warships, guns and cannons

Rip holes into the veil

Away in someone else’s land

While mine is safe and small;

Yet vast it is when wanting it

To stretch horizons far

And where I walk alone today

I know I have it all.

Loneliness is not my friend

(An enemy of old)

It has no home within my heart

When I am walking tall.

Companions I have all around

In tree and bird and star

Happiness resides in me

Alone, to never fall.

*Michael Jackson’s Personal Message

michael-jackson-11

Speech given by Michael Jackson (1958-2009) at Oxford University, London, March 2001

 Heal The Kids:

“Thank you, thank you dear friends, from the bottom of my heart, for such a loving and spirited welcome, and thank you, Mr. President, for your kind invitation to me which I am so honoured to accept. I also want to express a special thanks to you Shmuley, who for 11 years served as Rabbi here at Oxford. You and I have been working so hard to form Heal the Kids, as well as writing our book about child-like qualities, and in all of our efforts you have been such a supportive and loving friend. And I would also like to thank Toba Friedman, our director of operations at Heal the Kids, who is returning tonight to the Alma Mater where she served as a Marshall scholar, as wee as Marilyn Piels, another central member of our Heal the Kids team.

“I am humbled to be lecturing in a place that has previously been filled by such notable figures as Mother Theresa, Albert Einstein, Ronald Reagan, Robert Kennedy and Malcolm X. I’ve even heard that Kermit the Frog has made an appearance here, and I’ve always felt a kinship with Kermit’s message, that “it’s not easy being green!” I’m sure he didn’t find it any easier being up here than I do!

“As I looked around Oxford today, I couldn’t help but be aware of the majesty and grandeur of this great institution, not to mention the brilliance of the great and gifted minds that have roamed these streets for centuries. The walls of Oxford have not only housed the greatest philosophical and scientific geniuses – they have also ushered forth some of the most cherished creators of children’s literature, from J. R. R. Tolkien to C.S. Lewis. Today, I was allowed to hobble into the dining hall in Christ Church to see Lewis Carroll’s ‘Alice in Wonderland’ immortalised in the stained glass windows. And even one of my own fellow Americans, the beloved Dr Seuss graced these halls and then went on to leave his mark on the imaginations of millions of children throughout the world.

“I suppose I should start by listing my qualifications to speak before you this evening. Friends, I do not claim to have the academic expertise of other speakers who have addressed this hall, just as they could lay little claim at being adept at the moonwalk – and you know, Einstein in particular was really TERRIBLE at that.

“But I do have a claim to having experienced more places and cultures than most people will ever see. Human knowledge consists not only of libraries of parchment and ink – it also comprises the volumes of knowledge that are written on the human heart, chiseled on the human soul, and engraved on the human psyche. And friends, I have encountered so much in this relatively short life of mine that I still cannot believe I am only 42. I often tell Shmuley that in soul years I’m sure that I’m at least 80 – and tonight I even walk like I’m 80! So please harken to my message, because what I have to tell you tonight can bring healing to humanity and healing to our planet.

“Through the grace of God, I have been fortunate to have achieved many of my artistic and professional aspirations realised early in my lifetime. But these, friends, are accomplishments, and accomplishments alone are not synonymous with who I am. Indeed, the cheery  five-year-old who belted out Rockin’ Robin and Ben to adoring crowds was not indicative of the boy behind the smile.

“Tonight, I come before you less as an icon of pop [whatever that means anyway], and more as an icon of a generation, a generation that no longer knows what it means to be children.

“All of us are a product of our childhood, But I am the product of a lack of a childhood, an absence of that precious and wondrous age when we frolic playfully without a care in the world, basking in the adoration of parents and relatives, where our biggest concern is studying for that big spelling test come Monday morning.

MICHAEL-JACKSON

Michael, as a child

“Those of you who are familiar with the Jackson Five know that I began performing at the tender age of five and that ever since then, I haven’t stopped dancing or singing. But while performing and making music undoubtedly remain as some of my greatest joys, when I was young I wanted more than anything else to be a typical little boy. I wanted to build tree houses, have water balloon fights, and play hide-and-seek with my friends. But fate had it otherwise and all I could do was envy the laughter and playtime that seemed to be going on all around me.

“There was no respite from my professional life, but on Sundays I would go Pioneering, the term used for the missionary work that Jehovah ‘s Witnesses do. And it was then that I was able to see the magic of other people’s childhoods.

“Since I was already a celebrity, I would have to don a disguise of fat suit, beard and glasses and we would spend the day in the suburbs of Southern California, going door-to-door or making the rounds of shopping malls, distributing our Watchtower magazine. I loved to set foot in all those regular suburban houses and catch sight of the shag rugs and La-Z-Boy armchairs with kids playing Monopoly and grandmas baby-sitting and all those wonderful, ordinary and starry scenes of everyday life. Many, I know, would argue that these things seem like no big deal. But to me they were mesmerising.

“I used to think that I was unique in feeling that I was without a childhood. I believed that indeed there were only a handful with whom I could share those feelings. When I recently met with Shirley Temple Black, the great child star of the 1930s and 40s, we said nothing to each other at first, we simply cried together, for she could share a pain with me that only others like my close  friends Elizabeth Taylor and McCauley Culkin know.

“I do not tell you this to gain your sympathy but to impress upon you my first important point:

“It is not just Hollywood child stars that have suffered from a non-existent childhood. Today, it’s a universal calamity, a global catastrophe. Childhood has become the great casualty of modern-day living. All around us we are producing scores of kids who have not had the joy, who have not been accorded the right, who have not been allowed the freedom, of knowing what it’s like to be a kid.

“Today children are constantly encouraged to grow up faster as if this period known as childhood is a burdensome stage, to be endured and ushered through, as swiftly as possible.

“And on that subject I am certainly one of the world’s greatest experts.

“Ours is a generation that has witnessed the abrogation of the parent-child covenant. Psychologists are publishing libraries of books detailing the destructive effects of denying one’s children the unconditional love that is so necessary to the healthy development of their minds and character. And because of all the neglect, too many of our kids have, essentially, to raise themselves. They are growing more distant from their parents, grandparents and other family members, as all around us the indestructible bond that once glued together the generations, unravels.

“This violation has bred a new generation, Generation O let us call it, that has now picked up the torch form Generation X. The O stands for a generation that has everything on the Outside – wealth, success, fancy clothing and fancy cars, but an aching emptiness on the inside. That cavity in our chests, that barrenness at our core, that void in our centre is the place where the heart once beat and love once occupied.

“And it’s not just the kids who are suffering. It’s the parents as well. For the more we cultivate little-adults-in-kid’s-bodies, the more removed we ourselves become from our own child-like qualities, and there is so much about being a child that is worth retaining in adult life.

“Love, ladies and gentlemen, is the human family’s most precious legacy, its richest bequest, its golden inheritance. And it is a treasure that is handed down from  one generation to another. Previous ages may not have had the wealth we enjoy. Their houses may have lacked electricity and they squeezed their many kids into small homes without central heating. But those homes had no darkness, nor were they cold. They were lit bright with the glow of love and they were warmed snugly by the very heat of the human heart. Parents undistracted by the lust for luxury and status, accorded their children primacy in their lives.

“As you all know, our two countries broke from each other over what Thomas Jefferson referred to as “certain inalienable rights”. And while we Americans and British might dispute the justice of his claims, what has never been in dispute is that children have ‘certain inalienable rights’, and the gradual erosion of those rights has led to scores of children worldwide being denied the joys and security of childhood.

“I would therefore like to propose tonight that we install in every home a Children’s Universal Bill of Rights, the tenets of which are:

1.  The right to be loved, without having to earn it.

2.  The right to be protected, without having to deserve it.

3.  The right to feel valuable, even if you came into the world with nothing.

4.  The right to be listened to, without having to be interesting.

 5. The right to be read a bedtime story, without having to compete with the evening news.

6. The right to an education, without having to dodge bullets at school.

7. The right to be thought of as adorable {even if you have a face that only a mother could love!]

“Friends, the foundation of all human knowledge, the beginning of human consciousness, must be that each and every one of us is an object of love. Before you know if you have red hair or brown, before you know if you are black or white, before you know of what religion you are a part, you have to know that you are loved.

“About twelve years ago, when I was just about to start my ‘Bad’ tour, a little boy came with his parents to visit me at home in California. He was dying of cancer and he told me how much he loved my music and me. His parents told me that he wasn’t going to live, that any day he could just go, and I said to him, “Look, I am going to be coming to your town in Kansas to open my tour in three months, I want you to come to the show. I am going to give you this jacket that I  wore in one of my videos.” His eyes lit up and he said, ” You are gonna GIVE it to me?” I said, “Yeah, but you have to promise that you will wear it to the show.” I was trying to make him hold on. I said, “When you come to the show I want to see you in this jacket and in this glove” and I gave him one of my rhinestone gloves – and I never usually give the rhinestone gloves away. And he was just in heaven.

“But maybe he was too close to heaven, because when I came to his town, he had already died, and they had buried him in the glove and jacket. He was just 10 years old. God knows, I know, that he tried his best to hold on. But at least when he died he knew that he was loved, not only by his parents, but even by me a near stranger. I also loved him. And with all of that love he knew that he didn’t come into this world alone, and he certainly didn’t leave it alone.

“If you enter this world knowing you are loved and you leave this world knowing the same, then everything that happens in between can be dealt with. A professor may degrade you, but you will not feel degraded; a boss may crush you , but you will not be crushed; a corporate gladiator might vanquish you, but you will still triumph. How could any of them truly prevail in pulling you down? For you know that you are an object worthy of love. The rest is just packaging.

“But if you don’t have that memory of being loved, you are condemned to search the world for something to fill you up. But no matter how much money you make or how famous you become, you will still feel empty. What you are really searching for is unconditional love, unqualified acceptance. And that was the one thing that was denied to you at birth.

“Friends, let me paint a picture for you. Here is a typical day in America – six youths under the age of 20 will commit suicide,  12 children under the age of 20 will die from firearms – remember this is a DAY, not a year – 399 kids will be arrested for drug abuse, and 1,352 babies will be born to teen mothers. This is happening in one of the richest, most developed countries in the history of the world – USA.

“Yes, in my country there is an epidemic of violence that parallels no other industrialised nation. These are the ways young people in America express their hurt and their anger. But don’t think that there is not the same pain and anguish among their counterparts in the United Kingdom. Studies in this country show that every single hour three teenagers in the UK inflict harm upon themselves, often by cutting or burning their bodies or taking an overdose. This is how they have chosen to cope with the pain of neglect and emotional agony.

“In Britain, as few as 20% of families will  sit down and have dinner together once a year.  Once a year! And what about the time-honoured tradition of reading your kid a bedtime story? Research from the 1980s showed that children who are read to had far greater literacy and significantly outperformed their peers at school. And yet less than 33% of British children, aged two to eight, have a regular bedtime story read to them. You may not think much of that until you take into account that 75% of their parents DID have that bedtime story when they were that age.

“Clearly , we do not have to ask ourselves where all of this pain, anger and violent behaviour  comes from. It is self-evident that children are thundering against the neglect, quaking against the indifference and crying out just to be noticed. The various child protection agencies in the US say that millions of children are victims of maltreatment in the form of neglect, in the average year. Yes, neglect. In reach homes, privileged homes, wired to the hilt with every electronic gadget. Homes where parents come home, but they’re not really home, because their heads are still at the office. And their kids? Well, their kids just make do with whatever emotional crumbs they get. And you don’t get much from endless TV, computer games and videos.

“These hard, cold numbers which, for me, wrench the soul and shake the spirit, should indicate to you why I have devoted so much of my time and resources into making our new Heal the Kids initiative a colossal success.

“Our goal is simple – to recreate the parent/child bond, renew its promise and light the way forward for all the beautiful children who are destined one day to walk this earth.

“But since this is my first public lecture, and you have so warmly welcomed me into your hearts, I feel that I want to tell you more. We each have our own story, and in that sense statistics can become personal.

“They say that parenting is like dancing. You take one step, your child takes another. I have discovered that getting parents to re-dedicate themselves to their children is only half the story. The other half is preparing the children to re-accept their parents…

“When I was very young I remember that we had this crazy mutt of a dog named Black Girl, a mix of wolf and retriever. Not only wasn’t  she much of a guard dog, she was such a scared  and nervous thing that it is a wonder she did not pass out every time a truck rumbled  by or a thunderstorm swept through Indiana. My sister, Janet, and I gave that dog so much love, but we never really won back the sense of trust that had been stolen from her by her previous owner. We knew he used to beat her. We didn’t know with what, but whatever it was, it was enough to knock the spirit right out of that dog.

“A lot of kids today are hurt puppies who have weaned themselves off the need for love. They couldn’t care less about their parents. Left to their own devices, they cherish their independence. They have moved on and have left their parents behind.

“Then there are the far worse cases of children who harbour animosity and resentment toward their parents so that any overture that their parents might undertake would be thrown forcefully back in their faces.

“Tonight, I don’t want any of us to make this mistake. That’s why I’m calling upon all the world’s children – beginning with all of us here tonight – to forgive our parents, if we felt neglected.

“Forgive them and teach them how to love again.

“You probably weren’t suprised to hear that I did not have an idyllic childhood. The strain and tension that exists in my relationship with my own father is well documented. My father is a tough man and he pushed my brothers and me hard, from the earliest age, to be the best performers we could be.

“He had great difficulty showing affection. He never really told me he loved me. And he never really complimented me either. If I did a great show, he would tell me it was a good show. And if I did an okay show, he told me it was a lousy show.

“He seemed intent, above all else, on making us a commercial success. And at that he was more than adept. My father was a managerial genius and my brothers and I owe our professional success, in no small measure, to the forceful way that he pushed us. he trained me as a showman and under his guidance I couldn’t miss a step.

“But what I really wanted was a DAD. I wanted a father who showed me love. And my father never did that. He never said ‘I love you’ while looking me straight in the eye, he never played a game with me. He never gave me a piggyback ride, he never threw a pillow at me, or a water balloon.

“But I remember once when I was about 4 years old, there was a little carnival and he picked me up and put me on a pony. It was a tiny gesture, probably something he forgot five minutes later, but because of that moment I have this special place in my heart for him. Because that’s how kids are, the little things mean so much to them and for me, that one moment meant everything. I only experienced it that one time, but it made me feel really good, about him and the world.

“But now I am a father myself, and one day I was thinking about my own children, Prince and Paris [and Blanket, b. 2002] and how I want them to think of me when they grow up. To be sure, I would like them to remember how I always wanted them with me wherever I went, how I always tried to put them before everything else. But there are also challenges in their lives. Because my kids are stalked by paparazzi, they can’t always go to a park or a movie with me.

“So what if they grow older and resent me, and how my choices impacted their youth? “Why weren’t  we given an average childhood like all the other kids?” they might ask. And at that moment I pray that my children will give me the benefit of the doubt. That they will say to themselves. “Our daddy did the best he could, given the unique circumatances that he face. He may not have been perfect, but he was a warm and decent man, who tried to give us all the love in the world.”

son – Michael Joseph Jr known as Prince (b. 1997)
daughter – Paris- Michael Katherine (b. 1998)
son – Prince Michael II (aka Blanket) (b. 2002)

“I hope that they will always focus on the positive things, on the sacrifices I willingly made for them, and not criticise the things they had to give up or the errors I’ve made, and will certainly continue to make, in raising them. For we have all been someone’s child, and we know that despit the very best of plans and efforts, mistakes will always occur. That’s just being human.

“And when I think about this, of how I hope that my children will not judge me unkindly, and will forgive my shortcomings, I am forced to think of my own father and despite my earlier denials, I am forced to admit that he must have loved me. He did love me, and I know that.

“There were little things that showed it. When I was a kid I had a real sweet tooth – we all did. My favorite food was glazed doughnuts and my father knew that, so every few weeks I would come downstairs in the morning and there on the kitchen counter was a bag of glazed doughnuts – no note, no explanation – just the doughnuts. It was like Santa Claus.

“Sometimes I would think about staying up late at night, so I could see him leave them there, but just like with Santa Claus, I didn’t want to ruin the magic for fear that he would never do it again. My father had to leave them secretly at night, so as no one might catch him with his guard down. He was scared of human emotion; he didn’t understand it or know how to deal with it. But he did know doughnuts…

“And when I allow the floodgates to open up, there are other memories that come rushing back. Memories of other tiny gestures, however imperfect, that showed that he did what he could. So, tonight, rather than focusing on what my father didn’t do, I want to focus on all the things he did do and on his own personal challenges. I want to stop judging him.

“I have started reflecting on the fact that my father grew up in the South, in a very poor family. He came of age during the Depression and his own father, who struggled to feed his children, showed little affection towards his family and raised my father and his siblings with an iron fist. Who could have imagined what it was like to grow up a poor black man in the South, robbed of dignity, bereft of hope, struggling to become a man in a world that saw my father as subordinate. I was the first black artist to play on MTV and I remember how big a deal it was even then, and that was in the 80s!

“My father moved to Indiana and had a large family of his own, working long hours in the steel mill, work that kills the lungs and humbles the spirit, all to support his family. Is it any wonder that he found it difficult to expose his feelings? Is it any mystery that he hardened his heart, that he raised the emotional ramparts? And most of all, is it any wonder why he pushed his sons so hard to succeed as performers, so that they could be saved from what he knew to be a life of indignity and poverty?

“I have begun to see that even my father’s harshness was a kind of love, an imperfect love, to be sure, but love nonetheless. He pushed me because he loved me. Because he wanted no man ever to look down at his offspring.

“And now with time, rather than bitterness, I feel blessing. In the place of anger, I have found absolution. And in the place of revenge I have found reconciliation. And my initial fury has slowly given way to forgiveness…

“Almost a decade ago, I founded a charity called HEAL THE WORLD. The title was something I felt inside me. Little did I know , as Shmuley later pointed ou, that those three words form the corerstone of an Old Testament prophecy. Do I really believe that we can heal this world, that is riddled with war and genocide, even today? And do I really think that we can heal our children, the same children who can enter their schools with guns and hatred and shoot down their classmates, like they did at Columbine? Or children who can beat a defenceless toddler to death, like the tragic storie of Jamie Bulger? Of course I do, or I wouldn’t be here tonight.

“But it all begins with forgiveness, because to heal the world, we first have to heal ourselves. And to heal the kids, we first have to heal the child within, each and every one of us. As an adult, and as a parent, I realize that I cannot be a whole being, nor a parent capable of unconditional love, until I put to rest the ghost of my own childhood.

“And that’s what I’m asking all of us to do tonight. Live up to the fifth of the Ten Commandments – Honour Your Parents – by not judging them. Give them the benefit of the doubt.

“That is why I want to forgive my father and to stop judging him. I want to forgive my father, because I want a father, and this is the only one that I’ve got. I want the weight of my past lifted from my shoulders and I want to be free to step into a new relationship with my father, for the rest of my life, unhindered by the goblins of the past.

“In a world filled with hate, we must still dare to hope. In a world filled with anger, we must still dare to comfort. In a world filled with despair, we must still dare to dream. And in a world filled with distrust, we must still dare to believe.

“To all of you tonight who feel let down by your parents, I ask you to let down your disappointment. To all of you tonight who feel cheated by your fathers or mothers, I ask you not to cheat yourself further. And to all of you who wish to push your parents away, I ask you to extend your hand to them instead. I am asking you , I am asking myself, to give our parents the gift of unconditional love, so that they too may learn how to love from us, their children. So that love will finally be restored to a desolate and lonely world.

“Shmuley once mentioned to me an ancient Biblical prophecy which says that a new world and a new time would come, when, “The hearts of the parents would be restored through the hearts of their children.” My friends, we are that world, we are those children.

“Mahatma Gandhi said, “The weak can never forgive. Forgiveness is the attribute of the strong.” Tonight be strong. Beyond being strong, rise to the greatest challenge of all – to restore that broken covenant. We must all overcome whatever crippling effects our childhoods may have had on our lives and in the words of Jesse Jackson, “Forgive each other, redeem each other and move on.”

“This call for forgiveness may not result in Oprah moments the world over, with thousands of children making up with their parents, but it will at least be a start, and we’ll all be so much happier as a result.

“And so ladies and gentleman, I conclude my remarks tonight with faith, joy and excitement.

From this day forward, may a new song be heard.

Let that new song be the sound of children laughing.

Let that song be the sound of children playing.

Let that song be the sound of children singing.

Let that song be the sound of  parent listening.

Together , let us create a symphony of hearts, marveling at the miracle of our children and basking in the beauty of love.

Let us heal the world and blight its pain.

And may we all make beautiful music together.

God bless you, and I love you.”

The words of Michael Jackson.

*The Nature of Life – Elements, Chakras, Myths, Spirit and Science – Part 1

Understanding the nature of life involves looking at it from many different perspectives; to view any one subject one needs to walk around the circle – a sphere, even – and look down each spoke to the hub, the centre, or core of the issue.

fire flame

Primary life can be described as either starting with a spark or a big bang – an ignition of creation in a single moment in time and space and from that moment something extraordinary is started, which we call ‘Life’. It is both scientific in terms of physical matter and spiritual in terms of a living energy that has a life-force, a momentum, a purpose, and consequences – a ‘causal action’ followed by ‘experiential effects’.

In all traditions the primary elements are symbolically displayed in myth and magic, alchemy, personified deities, esoteric wisdom, natural sciences and imaginative creations.

The world around us is the platform from which we launch ourselves into both the outer and inner worlds, but there is a harmonious conformity that links all things into a universal truth, and we, as human conscious beings, can only understand it from our perspective. As the Aboriginal Peoples say, “Wherever my feet stand, that is the centre of the Universe.”

Primordial Fire seems a good place to start, like a sunrise on a brand new day as the Orb of Fire we call the Sun appears above the horizon in the east. It is not the Sun that is rising, of course, but the Earth turning towards it. Now that we have technology to observe and study the Sun, rather than shielding our eyes from its brightness, we can watch its Nature. This fiery orb has always been known as the supreme provider of Light and Heat, the gift of a god to its subjects. The Sun God features in every ancient religious belief system as the powerful Benefactor of Life on Earth.

Sun-light is white-light which separates into all the colours of the rainbow once it moves through the prismatic atmosphere of our planet. The prism, or pyramid, is therefore something that demonstrates how this ultimate full-spectrum power graduates down through the lower frequencies to the lowest, being infra-red. firelightprism

It is also representative of a structured  hierarchical system, one in which reverses the flow so that the peak, the ultimate power, is fed by the accumulative efforts of all the lower levels, especially the bottom of the heap – the work-force. This system has either endowed Earth with a progressive life, by a deity… or the other way round – the elite ruler has been empowered by the life-force of Earth.

fire volcanoIt is possible that our earliest forefathers suddenly discovered one day that fire could spontaneously ignite under certain circumstances. They may have had a crystal to make fire, like we can use a lens, or used flints to make a spark, and as mythology tells us, Prometheus may well have brought the gift of fire to Humanity; but we do have our own source of fire on Earth – Volcanic Fire.

Volcanoes, natural pyramidal mountains, have given rise to a plethora of mythological deities – Zeus and his entourage on Mount Olympus for example. Powerful and terrifying, unpredictably spectacular events like an eruption would have been interpreted as the god being angry, but beneficial, like a stern father or teacher, as volcanic ash is rich in minerals making soil fertile and the subjects would thrive, ultimately. Thunder and the white-fire energy in lightning balances the electric fields of our atmosphere and electro-magnetic grid, which keeps our planet ticking. Regeneration of the land and the surrounding people after an eruption may be the origin of the mythological Phoenix – new life rising from the ashes of the parents’ funeral pyre.

fire phoenix

One man’s magical Phoenix is another man’s Dragon; mythology around the world holds many stories of  Dragons, or Serpent gods, or Reptilian ETs. From the temptation of Eve by the Serpent in the Garden of Eden, to David Icke’s revelations about the Reptilian Blood-line of the Illuminati, the blood-curdling serpent-dragon has lived in our unconscious memories for millenia.

Fire-dragon

Fighting the dragon represents a human’s quest to conquer his or her fears, not just to survive, but to get to the treasures that the dragon is guarding – the secrets of the sacred knowledge. In all life, a person has to draw on their ‘dragon’ energy to fight for his life, what he needs or what he believes in. The primordial fire is both courage and wisdom – when to stand one’s ground and fight or when to run like hell to save one’s life – the ‘fight-or-flight’ syndrome. At times like these adrenalin is pumped around the body, increasing the body’s temperature, supplying nutrients and energy for strength and sharpening all the physical senses to be alert and aware, including pupil dilation to see more clearly.

fire flight or fight

This response arises from what is called the Base Chakra (Sanskrit ‘vortex of fire’), the part of the body you sit on! This is the base of the body but the legs and feet connect it to the earth in what is termed a ‘Root’. Like animals, we had the ability to feel vibrations through our feet rising from the land itself and this signal would be received in the first chakra, and so this spiritual-physical part of the body is designed to help us survive.

“Shall I stand still and watch the sunset, run and hunt, or sit down by the fire?” Our ancestors moved up a notch from the animal kingdom when they used fire to cook food. Not only could they make their food last longer, but they could eliminate the micro-organisms that were potentially harmful. (This is another subject but will just mention that in the developed countries, the hearth and home-cooking is nearly lost; central-heating has eliminated the fireplace in many homes; GMO, chemical-polluted produce, pre-cooked and micro-waved foods and a lack of raw food has seriously threatened our health) The cooking fire-oven came at a time when humans settled more in one place, put down their roots, and started to clear the land for agriculture. It is suggested that Man was taught these skills by ‘otherworldly’ visitors, foreigners either from out of space, another dimension, or from inside our planet – up through tunnels or out through the poles. Besides cooking and agriculture, humans suddenly seemed to have knowledge of the stars, cycles, arithmetic, symbolism and language. It was quite a leap! Was it out of the pot into the fire?

fire cooking

The spiritual fire known as ‘Kundalini’ is also seen as a serpent, or pair of serpentine energy currents spiralling from the genital area up the core of the body, in line with the spine, right to the top of the head – like a central communication channel. When the kundalini rises it can be experienced as a spiritual orgasm and ecstatic enlightenment, but the physical orgasm is just as important for our procreation.

chakras

The fire of passion raises not only the creative forces of the spirit but the physical forces of heat, hormones and emotions which unite two people in the act of pro-creation. Some ancient cultures knew that to call the spirit of the unborn into incarnation, they must first ignite the fire of their imagination with heart-fire, to open the portals to the spirit world and invite the soul of their child into the physical dimension. Fortunately it still works without this knowledge as the fire of passion works its magic, but some great wisdom and human spirituality has been lost. The feeling of exhaustion after making love is a measure of the energy ‘spent’ in this creative combustion. The father-to-be has ‘fired his weapon’ and the ammunition arrives in the crucible of the mother-to-be.

fire of passion

But the question now arises of the existence of other fires – Inner Fire, as another sun in Inner Earth;  Black Fire, as in the Black Hole of the centre of our Milky Way Galaxy; Shamanic Fire, as in the ability of the spirit (or soul) to rise out of the body, and Spiritual Fire, as in the enlightened consciousness. Life is not as simple as lighting a fire to keep warm or to cook dinner anymore. From simple beginnings, humanity on Earth has changed into an all-consuming parasite which is threatening the living entity of our planet. Humanity has become Man: all things humanitarian have lost its balancing feminine counterpart. We have discovered every combustible substance in the earth to fire our engines and fuel our technologies, and even fire on our neighbours and threaten to wipe out life altogether.

fireHbomb

We need to fire up our consciousness! We can no longer sit on our base chakra contemplating our fate, chewing the end of a match and ignoring the smoke signals, bowing to an inhumane ruling elite. Raising our level of attention and observation and knowledge into a creative plan on a higher level of existence is called raising our vibration, or conscious awareness, or ascension into the 5th dimension. To do that we need to retrieve Harmony, Balance, and the missing Feminine. Men and women humans need to unite in the Violet Flame of Love.

kundalini

Part 2 – The Crucible of Life: Sophia, Mother Nature; Sacred Garden, Water of Life, Holy Grail, Cave, Womb, Hara (2nd or Sacral Chakra), Alchemy, Emotional Intelligence and Blackmail.

*Are we Living a Computer-Simulated Existence?

It is possible that we, as sensor-mechanisms or transmitter-receivers, are now fast becoming cognitively self-aware and aware of the Systems-Program; that is, the physical creation and purpose of the human is the Program but the Programmer is now talking to us and telling us our nature, when and why we were created, what our potential is and that we can actually cooperate by being willing to send experiential feedback and our own  creative ideas to the Programmer, rather than just being unconscious and unaware with no participation. If freedom of choice was always there but we were not programmed to activate it until we gained this awareness, that we can be both the programmer and the user, then we were left with an unconscious sense of being a slave or victim or a genetic construct of the invisible but all-powerful creator-god, or ET aliens, and  that we could only connect with it through worship, blind faith or ‘prayer’ (a conversation with the invisible God or gods). If we are a living computerised programmed creation, then the computer itself does not have to be an unfeeling or un-living electro-mechanical system but a living conscious entity. The ‘holographic’ theory simply suggests that the ‘program’ is embedded in every particle, from the quanta to the universe, as the hologram is seen as complete in every part just as in the whole. Equally, the human soul is as complete in the whole of humanity (and not just on Earth) as in each individual human.

Perception is always the key – both from within and from outside ourselves.

When I was writing once I came to a pause in the flow of what I was writing so I closed my eyes and in that moment I ‘saw’ myself inside the computer looking out through the screen at me sitting in front of it with my eyes closed! I didn’t think I had become taken over by the computer, only that there was a co-operation between my mind and what the computer could do for me; in fact by getting inside the computer I could help myself better – like doing a search.

If we continually think we are controlled by some anonymous exterior thing/being/mind/system, we will be, but the moment we understand that we are that exterior thing, guiding ourselves, we will understand our own power. It works both individually and collectively.

The communication system between the outer and the inner ‘thing’ (whatever you want to call it) is a sensual energy we call emotion, or a ‘moving energetic experience’, which acts like a sort of litmus paper that can demonstrate what we are doing and thinking and how it aligns with this other part of us. If the outer and inner parts (or higher and lower-self) agree and comply and work in unison, we feel a pleasant emotion like happiness, if not we feel pain and misery.

This aspect does indeed make us uniquely human. Any person demonstrating emotion is a human, any cold and unfeeling person is not, by definition, and is either completely cut off from its own Programmer or is a non-biological soul-less robot controlled by a machine – something we feel is innately evil because we recognise this lack of sensory communication called ‘feeling’.

I believe that the mind is not the brain. The right hemisphere receives information in an unconditional download via the Mind from its own Programmer or Central Databank, or Source or Universal Thought (cosmic rays?) and the left hemisphere transmits that information as recognisable data (electrical impulses) or consciousness to activate, drive and motivate the body in a certain way that is beneficial. When this is over-ridden by interference, the person is misdirected. There seems to be a fail-safe device which can over-ride the interference if the person is in serious danger of going critical.

We could interpret all of this as having no self-determination, freedom of choice or individual identity but we must be mindful of paranoia and total victim/slave/mind-control freakdom. Unless we are the god-of-all-gods I think we have to accept some collective unity, or we are lost in some sort of tyrannical egomania.

Our knowledge and abilities have increased enormously since the discovery of the computer, which initially was a code-breaker, but we should always remember that humans built the computer, not the other way round. To apply the same concept to the Great Creator is doing that Great Mystery no small injustice, even though it most probably helped us to discover it! It’s like saying we created the Creator, rather than being the creation of the Creator, but both may be true. Binary code is, after all, simple duality..an on-and-off code – being or not being…the quantum of Light particles, being there or here only when observed by an observer. Are we here being observed or are we observing what we are creating? Is thinking necessary for being? Is understanding necessary for being? Is knowledge necessary for being? And when we have all this knowledge will we have the wisdom to use it?

*LOVE

LOVE

LOVE

LOVE

What is it? Where is it? What does it look like, sound like? How do we find it? What do with it when we find it?

There are many teachings about love – this is just one of them.

Let go of your heart. Do not clutch it. Let your heart be like a kite that flies. Let your heart soar. Hearts are made for soaring. Your heart is made for soaring. This is balance, beloveds.

You may have thought that keeping your heart down on the farm is steadying, but, no, your heart is meant to take off. Balance is when your heart stays on high and gets used to it. This doesn’t mean that your heart jumps around. No, your heart is steady at the speed of light.

Your heart is set to love. There is to be no turning off your heart. That’s it. That’s the message for today.

Your heart is meant to be mellow. Let it be mellow.

Your heart is to fly and to leave nowhere. A kite has a tail, and your love is to follow your heart. There cannot be too much love. Love cannot be folly. Love with demands, that can be folly. Nothing is to block your love. Nowhere are you to stop your love. Let all the love in your heart take you with it. There is no dropping off your love. Love travels with your heart. Love is not meant to be incurred by an object. There is only the subject of love, and the subject is not this one or that one, this object or that object. No, your love is greater than any object. Your love does not require an object. Your love just wants to be let free. Like a bird, your love is to take wing.

And yet you do not sort or categorize your love. Love isn’t sanctioned or not sanctioned. Love is love. It is its own parent. Love needs no outside source to be love. Love is an inner development. Love is not meant to ostracize anyone. Love is truly democracy. It is easier to simply love than to love here and there and limit love according to a limited allowance. Absolutely not. No limit to the love your heart carries.

Allow your heart to object to no one. Cast your heart, your net of love, and let it increase its love, loving for the sake of how good love feels, loving because you love and not because someone has cultured it. Culture your own love. Make it vast. It is easier to love all than to love only one or once or never.

Love is not a costume you wear. Nevertheless, dress yourself up in the warmth of love. Extol love. Do not weigh it nor create categories of love. There is love. Let your heart ride on love. Go everywhere with love, for love you are. Do not dismiss any love. Do not call some love acceptable, and other love unacceptable.

A heart is not like that. A heart of love is a heart of love. Love is not a judgment call. We are talking far greater than personal love. You have a universal heart that knows not of discrimination. Your love just is. Anything less than full love is hampered love, love cut off, love in pieces, love like a governmental law. Love needs no love. Love is its own love.

Love knows no subtexts. Love just knows love. Love is simple, and love is vast. Love is Vastness Itself. Love does not mini-manage. Love is free and gives of itself freely. Love is like the sun that shines. The sun goes everywhere willingly, happily. Love alights everywhere.

What is True Love? True Love is love that gives of itself without questions asked. Love gives because it knows nothing else but to love. Love loves not here and there. Love loves everywhere.

And LOVE starts in the most humble of ways and grows until it is the most Divine expression of it.

Love could be the life-force that holds everything together, dark energy if you like, that cannot be seen but can be felt. In the material world we seek this out by being close to another where the exchange of giving and receiving keeps this energy in an equilibrium and makes us feel safe, loved and happy.

Each action, thought and feeling uses this energy in one way or another – and when we understand how it works we can direct it, consciously. If there is a deficit of this Love Energy, we can direct more into the space that requires it; if there is an abundance, we can draw it to ourselves, or just allow ourselves to receive it,. If it is taken without our consent, we will try to conceal it, retain it or counter it by refusing it. Some things trigger an outpouring of this energy in what we call empathy or compassion.

There are a billion billion ways to express Love because it is everywhere in everything, mostly moving to find this equilibrium. The Source of All Love is the ever-abundant supply from which we can draw this energy when we are lacking, but that source is also in an invisible crystal deep within the soul-heart. We can generate more and more Love once we know that we have the power to activate the soul-heart. There is never a lack, just an imbalance.

Two people in Love never take, just give and receive to each other. Two people who take from each other without ever generating their own soul-heart’s Love, will eventually run out of what they unwittingly took without returning.

Love is everywhere. A feeling of lack of love is from disconnection, like breaking the contacts on a battery, or pulling out a plug, the charge can no longer be generated. Touch one other living thing with a thought that you are connecting and you can start the Love Energy flowing – feel the flow, in and out, then increase the outflow and feel the increase in the inflow, keep regenerating the outflow to increase the inflow until your battery, and the other living thing’s battery, is fully charged. This is the Power of Love – to touch another with Love, whether the touch is physical,or  with a thought, or by a feeling – it is the most Powerful thing in the Universe – Love.

Dream Lake

This is my dedication to the International Day of Peace, held on 21st Spetember,

initiated by ‘Peace One Day’, the inspiration of  Jeremy Gilley

I dreamed the dream

I envisioned it, wished it, wanted it

Brought it forth

Then grasped the day

I sought it,

Wrought it from my imagining;

Shoe set upon the track

This moment is my foothold

My creation.

Yearning water

A boat, afloat to drift

To breach the rift

‘Tween here and there

Alas, no permit given

Hopes riven

Never mind.

Hear the water through the bird-call

See the water through willows tall

Fingers touching water, lightly leafed

Smell the water

Taste its presence.

Distant dazzling dancing diamonds

Catch the sunlight’s spirit nature

Cormorant finds perfect balance

On a buoy

Too far even for the lens to bring to focus

Yet my projected sight has it

Memory sealed, concealed, stolen for eternal joy.

 Deep drowning sky

Its shifting forms rippled

Drifting Galleon clouds

Perfect sailing day

Perfect lingering day

It’s mine, all mine,

I dreamed it.

 Every touch –

The peck of fish beneath

Zephyr’s kiss

A leaf fall

Brush of dragon-fly’s wing

Sends perfect circling ripples out;

Nearly imperceptible waves arrive

Like little blessings

Ever coming here (from where?)

Like thoughts rushing

Across the silvered reflection

My mind imitates.

 Black shadows, Valkyrie rooks,

Play in tree-top vortices

Reflected shards

Refracted rays

Sun’s swords of Light

Pierce and wound

And scrape my optic nerve

Intrusion on my introversion.

 Every second steals a moment

Heaven brought to Earth

Sky on water’s mirror

Refuses adamantly

To freeze time like a camera’s snap

A moment shot and killed

Deprived of its ever-changing skills;

My skill

To stay statuesque

Like cormorant on buoy

While sylph and sprite and brown trout play

Because this is my day

I dreamed it.

 Buzzards circles sweep

Minnows flick in shallows

Long-tailed tits tweet in willows

Great-crested grebe, red butterfly

Hercules heron’s sweet surprise

And amethyst autumn croci

I look, I see

They come to me.

 Intruding gust disturbs the deep

But not my peace

Too perfect to deflect it

Sun’s warming Love protects it

This is my wish

I dreamed it.

*Yin-Yang Humanity

It is the nature of our world to experience the manifestations of duality, not just in the physical world around us as opposites, but in the ever-changing colours and shades of the birth-life-growth-decay and death cycle of life. And not least in the psychology of the human with what we call positive and negative traits, thoughts, emotions and actions – represented by the four elements – and the extremes of unconditional love and murderous hatred. But the Yin-Yang symbol shows that it is not an absolute division of one thing from another, for the small dots in each half show that nothing is absolute.

US and THEM
I see with horror how the world has divided itself into blacks and whites and yet I know there must be some purpose in this, as the yin-yang duality describes. I am horrified that it has caused hatred and apartheid, oppression of one people by another, and in some cases annihilation. It has always bothered me that the dark-eyed ‘black’ people have been treated so badly and have wondered why the blue-eyed ‘white’ race think of themselves as superior. Perhaps Hitler came to show us the ultimate expression of this, to stop us in our tracks.
I want to make a difference, to expose this stupid discrimination, and do small things which may add up to something grand to bring a loving peace between people. I read, think, study, wonder, try to understand the Higher purpose of this and what we are supposed to do with it. Could the distinct and separate races meld in the ‘melting pot’ of cross-cultural mating to form a new race of undetermined colour – to form a beautiful brown Earth people with multi-shades of eyes and hair, and a range of features, characteristics and abilities that cannot be segregated into well-defined ‘races’? Perhaps we are already becoming this!

To perceive life as a bird from above one could look down and see patterns – patterns of behaviour, patterns of movement around the planet, patterns of social structure, patterns in the rise and fall of nations, the emergence and disappearance of civilisations – and compare human expression with the natural world it finds itself in. In it, somewhere, there is a clue which will explain why we have divided ourselves, the one half trying to eliminate the other, while as individuals we constantly yearn for our ‘other half’ with whom we can exchange unfettered love and unite as one.

If we can discover the origins of the White Race, the Aryans (if they are one and the same), I feel we may find an answer. If some of us did indeed come from another place in the cosmos, or time-space dimension, and started out with knowledge that was kept from others, it could answer the unconsciously-held presumption that they are different, more advanced, superior, or more privileged than the race that did not originate from that place. But this presumption strikes against my understanding that the Universal Architect created all… and Father Spirit, finding Mother Spirit here on Earth, co-created their children and all are bequeathed the right to be free, to procreate, and to love and be loved in peaceful harmony together… aren’t they?

How did duality start – from a fissure in the wholeness of creation? In the simple concept of beauty, there has to be a standard of beauty, and all things outside that standard, fail in beauty. Where there is light, a shadow must be cast. To evolve, progress, grow, improve, excel, we leave behind a self which does not.

Human biology tells us that all babes are conceived as one gender – a non-male, or feminine androgen, with a potential to specialise its genes into one or the other – a boy or a girl – while keeping secretly within, it’s ‘other’. The separation seems to serve only one purpose – to be able to unite again in sexual union to re-create itself. The bio-psychology of each gender best serves its role – to dispassionately leave the nest to hunt and roam, as man (once the seed is sown); or remain around the hearth to nourish, grow and teach the child to maturity, as woman. And yet both genders have so much more – both can think, create artistically, work, explore, learn, hone their manual skills or philosophies, study the sciences, entertain, or trade – and these are not exclusve to one gender or the other.

To turn around the human destruction of humans, we have to understand how it started. How was Man set against Man? There is a story about how one action changed things – how one man, back along, decided to trick his community into thinking they were going to be attacked and therefore needed to defend themselves. The opportunist volunteered to gather a small army and lead it, for a small reward and free quarters within the city. He was a man who had no land of his own and therefore had to create a job for himself – as a self-appointed fighter of the ‘enemy’, a protector of the citizens – but who was this imagined ‘enemy’? We have a saying: ‘An Englishman’s home is his castle’; so is it only when we enclose ourselves in a space that we (think we) own, that we find we have to defend it, making all outsiders potential attackers? Is it just about the ‘haves’ and the ‘have-nots’? Or are there really outsiders, enemies, bent on sucking the planet dry with no regard for life, individual or collective. Is the force we name evil lost of its balancing other half? Has it become devoid of harmony and cannot procreate, and so must take from others who can?
I have read history of the ‘Dark Ages’, of battles and slaughter of huge numbers of people; of empire-builders, great wealth and great loss; of lands won and then lost again in the bid to be the strongest, most powerful and most wealthy.
It goes against a simple principle – that we have everything that we need without taking anything from another. If we should have a surplus, we can trade it with someone for something we need. It’s so easy.

Is this dense, material plane to teach us this simple principle? To see another not for his differences but for our shared gifts? That in seeking and finding love through a soul-mate, even the alter-soul within, we can feel complete? By seeing a blend of genders not as abnormal but evolution? By seeing both sides of difference not as opposites, oppositions, opposing forces, but as uniting, encompassing, harmonising forces.

Is it possible in this Earthy realm?

*The Blue Race

jake_and_avatar_poster-wide

This subject of BLUE PEOPLE pops up in different places so I thought I would dedicate a discussion to it.

Why do we have the ‘blues’ when we are depressed; why do the ‘Blues’ come from the Deep South; and why does the air turn ‘blue’ if we swear a lot? Why is the ocean and the sky described as ‘blue’, when water and air is not?

>>

I am going to skip over the whole subject of Earth Human race-by-colour argument as it is not relevant and fraught with discrepancies. For more info see WIKI.

>>

The Kentucky Blues: One rare medical anomaly (‘met-H’) that afflicted a family in Kentucky, possibly due to in-breeding, caused a blue look to their bodies, and you can read about it in The Kentucky Blues and HERE.I found a mention (see below *) that there is an Inner-Earth portal in the Kentucky mountains, where the ‘Kentucky Blues’ lived.

>>

Blue Babies: This is another medical anomaly which may be more interesting, , which is caused by antagonistic mixing of Rhesus negative and Rhesus positive blood during birth. It has been suggested that RH neg blood is of an ET origin. This is because one hypothesis says that the Reptilian ET Race that practiced genetic manipulation may have used the Rhesus monkey DNA and if this factor is absent, then it may suggest RH neg is non-genetically altered DNA – i.e. ET.

But if there is more than one type of ET race, then the RH neg blood carriers need not be the genetic manipulators, but some other visitors who inter-married with humans and had childrenfrom love?

>>

Blue-Bloods are another side-shoot. They are usually of Royal descent and suffer from haemophilia due to in-breeding, again, and Royals have been long held as ‘God’s patrons for humanity’ or ‘God’s representatives on Earth’ or divine in their own right as a protected blood-line – but from which source?

The cause of blue blood in lobsters, snails and spiders is hemocyanin.

>>

The Blue-Skins are described as an other-worldly race, an ET race or a Star race. But stories around the world tell us they are here – somewhere.

When there is something in common folk-lore, fantasy or fiction that appears repeatedly, one has to consider whether there is an underlying truth which cannot be explained with scientific proof, historical fact, or, in the case of living beings, anthropological and archaeological evidence, yet it is in our psyche.

For some people, there is already an inner or soul identification with this Blue Race, and I invite their experiences, knowledge and input.

>>

Characters depicted in film, for instance, gives us a good starting place –

‘Avatar’, ‘Spider-man’, ‘Superman’, ‘Apocalypto’, ‘Braveheart’ (Picts, or ‘painters‘ used blue woad to scare the enemy), and even the ‘Smurfs’ (sorry, no offence meant!)

It is interesting to note that in Apocalypto, the victims of the blood sacrifices were daubed with blue dye before death – were they a reminder of a star-race?

>>

I found another interesting discussion on The Straight Dope site:

Another skin-painting tribe:

The blue men are the Tuareg, a nomadic group of people in the Sahara whose traditional territories included Mali and parts of Niger, Morocco, Algeria, etc. They get their nickname from the blue robes they wear. Originally their clothing was deeply dyed with natural indigo. This was absorbed by the skin, which also took on a blue tinge. I have read that even babies were born with blue skin because of the indigo in their mothers’ blood. –sthompson”

>>

Krishna is depicted as blue-skinned in Hindu iconography and the story behind this starts to get more interesting:

“Krishna is traditionally shown with blue skin in almost all the art of India. This is part of the mythology of Krishna. See, some demons wanted to kill every living being on the earth, so they dumped poison in the rivers. Krishna prevented mass mortality by drinking up all the poison. Being a god, naturally Krishna didn’t die from the poison, but it did turn his skin blue for the rest of time. Why poison = blue? I suspect the poison in question was cyanide, which you mention as being colored blue. –Paul”

>>

‘Seek and ye shall find’ – co-incidentally (not!), it was on this discussion I got closer to what I was looking for in one reply:

Blue Moovians:

“Please dig deeper in response to the line of inquiry initiated by Lonijo via AOL. I too was a student of anthropology some 30 years ago and also stumbled across reference to a former race of humanoids who were blue. Once, in addition to the four known races of mankind, there was a fifth race that dwelled on an unknown continent in the middle of the ocean between Asia and Europe (i.e., North America). This race, the most ancient of all, was called the Blue Moovians. They were very tall, about seven feet, and very thin, and had extremely large heads. They possessed all manners of powers of the mind: teleportation, telekinesis, ESP. One day, in response to a stimulus known only to them, they conveyed to regular humans that they had, through their powers of astral projection, located a planet more suitable to their needs in a far distant solar system or galaxy, and all at once they each and every one disappeared from the face of the earth and teleported themselves there, never to be seen or heard from again. This supposedly occurred about 60,000 BC. –Mark S. Miller”

*My own comment to that reply is that, with the best of my knowledge, America was the last continent to be discovered – by C.E. explorers – and an “ocean between Asia and Europe” would have been the Pacific/Atlantic and a continent of antiquity in its centre would have been Atlantis/Lemuria. And Lemuria was known as ‘MU’ – “Moovians”?? Now these beings may well have inhabited the Americas, too. I am not going to be pedantic about this as none of us know, proof-positive.

>>

The Ainu, in another comment:

“the Ainu, an indigenous people living in Japan whose skin hue is often described as blue.”

But I have read that the Ainu lived further north in outer China (?), and that they are so old they also are thought to have originated in Lemuria/Atlantis.

>>

All of these theories are discussed further in this site HERE I find this site more subjective overall. It quotes Mark S. Miller again (see above) and suggests that Angels may also be implicated (aren’t they always?) But a new aspect is brought into discussion:

“The ANISHNABE Nation Prophecy of the Blue People – According to the prophecy, there are four groups of people: the red; the yellow; the black; the white…

…and the blue? Courchene (?) says that from today’s youth a new group of people will be born – the blue people, who will be tolerant of each other, and will bring spiritual harmony and sacredness back to the earth. This will prepare the way for a rebirth of Mother Earth.”

The link on this quote takes us HERE – CRYSTAL AND INDIGO CHILDREN

blue/indigo aura

Is this where the ‘Blue-Skins’ are ‘hiding’? Have they re-incarnated as our new generation of Crystal/Indigo Children?

If we look at the folk-lore characters again, we see people who are different, outspoken, brave, spiritual, have super-natural powers or become leaders of men for freedom of humanity – is this what Crystal Children are destined to be?

Blue Star Kachina:

According to the ancient Hopi prophecy–“When the Blue Star Kachina makes its appearance in the heavens, the Fifth World will emerge”. This will be the Day of Purification.

Hopi Kachina dolls:

“Kachinas are holy spirits that live upon the San Francisco Peaks in Arizona and other sacred mountains in the Southwest…The Kachina (dancer) is so powerful that Whipper Kachinas stay the spectators from her path to keep them from being harmed by her spirit. The Kachina impersonators (dancers) give the spirits a form that can interact with the human and can be seen as intermediaries between the Hopi Pueblo and the spirits themselves. While the Kachinas are present, they are constantly offered prayers by spectators who sprinkle the dancers with corn pollen as they pass or are encountered. In this way the blessings between the Kachinas and the people can be exchanged before the Kachinas return to their mountain homes in the summer. Plaza dances were at one time open to all, but because of the ignorant and sometimes reprehensible behaviour of increasingly large groups of tourists, all dances are now closed to the public.” More HERE

The Hopi Prophecy of the Blue Kachinas, by Dr. Robert Ghost Wolf:

“The story of the Blue Kachina is a very old story, very old.  I have been aware of the story of the Blue Kachina since I was very young.  I was told this story by grandfathers who are now between 80 and 108 years of age. Frank Waters also wrote about Saquasohuh, the Blue Star  Kachina in The Book of the Hopi, The story came from Grandfather Dan, Oldest Hopi.

“It was told to me that first the Blue Kachina would start to be seen at the dances, and would make his appearance known to the children in the plaza during the night dance. This event would tell us that the end times are very near.  Then the Blue Star Kachina would physically appear in our heavens which would mean that we were in the end times.

“In the Final days we will look up in our heavens and we will witness the return of the two brothers who helped create this world in the birthing time. Poganghoya is the guardian of our North Pole and his Brother Palongawhoya is the guardian of the South pole. In the final days the Blue Star Katchina will come to be with his nephews and they will return the Earth to its natural rotation which is counter clock wise.

“This fact is evidenced in many petraglyphs that speak of the Zodiac, and within the Mayan and Egyptian pyramids. The rotation of the Earth has been manipulated by not so benevolent Star beings . The twins will be seen in our North Western skies.  They will come and visit  to see who still remembered the original teachings  flying in their Patuwvotas, or flying shields.  They will bring many of their star family with them in the final days.

“The return of the Blue Star Katchina who is also known as Nan ga sohu  will be the alarm clock that tells us of the new day and new way of life, a new world that is coming.  This is where the changes will begin.  They will start as fires  that burn within us, and we will burn up with desires and conflict if we do not remember the original teachings, and return to the peaceful way of life.” (More HERE)

Sirius:

“There are beings of Sirius of course existing in higher dimensions compared to us presently on Earth, who would be described as the Blue race. But as we all know souls who incarnate onto this planet which is currently in the lower 3rd Dimensional realm of existence do not incarnate on mother Earth in human form with what would be deemed blue skin.”

Inner World Inhabitants:

From Mary Sutherland again – from her book ‘In Search of Shambhala’

Arkansas:

“In northern Arkansas, a 12-man speleological team broke into an ancient tunnel system, encountering inhabitants of the inner- world.
Just north of Batesville, explorers found a tunnel illuminated by a greenish phosphorescence where they met a race of beings who stood 7 to 8 feet tall and had bluish skin. The beings, who have advanced technology, told the explorers they are the direct descendents of Noah. The Cherokee Indians also tell of this same race of blue men . According to the Cherokee they inhabited the areas of Kentucky as well*. When the Cherokee came into that area, they killed these blue skinned men off. Apparently the Cherokee were wrong in their assumptions.”

(Also lots of info on entrances to underground tunnels and the Inner Earth HERE)

If the ‘Blue Race’ was from the Sirius Star System, then the Hopi Indians and the Dogon Tribe in Mali have kept their memory alive. (Not sure how they got to Kentucky though, although according to Robert Temple, they are remembered in China) The Kachina dancers and dolls and the Dogon costumes and masks have a strong similarity, in my opinion. The Blue Kachina Star twins maybe Sirius A and Sirius B.

The Dogon Tribe’s ancestors were exiled from Egypt when the religious dogma threatened their tradition and so they left to preserve it, but petroglyphs remain of the ‘fish-beings’, the people who came from the sky in an enormous Mothership, and were ‘bluish, scaly, gill-breathing, fish-head and tailed beings. Dolphins seem to be associated with these people, as do mermaids.

The world that they came from was a watery, misty world, aka the higher dimension origin of Atlantis/Lemuria, and when most of them left because of the approaching cataclysm, deluge, or Great Flood, ‘Noah’ was chosen to preserve life so that it could continue on Earth (possibly in a ‘space-ship’ , or ‘Ark’ called Moon?)

>>

Pleiades:

Eye-witness report from a contactee:

“I have seen tall slender blue skinned people at a park where I usually contact my star-kins, at a glance they look just like tall skinny people in blue tracksuits, but close up they have blue skin, and they appear and disappear into thin air – in other words they’re not 3rd dimensional humans. My impression was that they are Pleiadeans, and indeed the ship I had contact with has Pleiadeans on board.”

There are at least three ways to see Star beings – one – is in the memories held in legend and traditions; two – that they are in us genetically or spiritually; three – that they can move inter-dimensionally and ‘appear’ to those who can ‘see’.

The biggest problem with looking for evidence is that once one idea gets established, it is repeated as the truth, regardless of whether it is true or not.

Not just Sirians then, but Pleiadians too. I am wondering if this ‘blueness’ is a textural or perceptual vibrational quality which we call ‘blue’. Like we see and call the sky ‘blue’ but it is thin air. It is a photonic frequency.

A few more associations – the human ‘blue-print’, ‘cold-blooded’ amphibians, dolphins, and lack of haemaglobin (as in red blood cells) due to the low-light of the Inner Sun – and maybe ultra-violet light-sensitive, or higher light frequency adaptation.

>>

From the film ‘The 5th Element’

In summary, ‘BLUE’ people, whether blood-line, genetic condition, skin-colour or with a tradition of painting themselves, seem to have a common origin – other-worldly, inner earth or the future – from the sky, space or stars – from the wide-blue-yonder?

More Evidence of the Blue Race as Sirians:

Sub-text to this video:

Those who have Sirius as their planetary origin are very focused, very determined and set on whatever path they are on at a given time. It is very difficult to change the mind of one from Sirius, but once they have become convinced that a new “path” is more appropriate, they become totally focused on the new, and release the old quickly. Sirians have strong beliefs, ideals and personal integrity.

Those from Sirius make loyal, trustworthy friends, but expect the same in return. They become hurt and disillusioned when these expectations are not met. Sirians do not share the inner personal self with others easily, and may have difficulty sharing emotions and expressing feelings and needs. To be fully accepted and trusted as a close personal friend of a Sirian means that you have been carefully scrutinized. Sirians may have difficulty in relationships and friendships when they expect to be treated in a certain way, but do not share their expectations with the others involved. It is important to work with sharing expectations, ideals, communicating needs and desires to avoid being hurt and disillusioned. This often occurs as a result of lack of communication or lack of mutual understanding and clarity in relationships.

Those from Sirius tend to be future oriented, and do not enjoy focusing on the past. They may become defensive if forced to focus on the past by others. This is due to the fact that past pain and emotion is held within, denied and repressed rather than being dealt with at the time of occurrence. Due to this there may be large amounts of old emotion in need of being dealt with and released. Sirians do not enjoy confrontations or open expressions of anger but if forced into an argument will defend themselves and their beliefs fiercely. This is particularly true if honor of themselves or loved ones is involved. One of the lessons many Sirians have chosen to work with in this lifetime is the importance of releasing old pain, forgiving self and others, and moving on.

Sirians have a very unique and strong sense of humor, which often is only seen when they are with those they trust and feel at ease with. Sirians may be considered dreamers by some. This is due to their active, vivid inner life. This can cause forgetfulness and a tendency to not notice trivial third dimensional things in the present. They may at times appear to be uninterested, or inattentive, but in actuality they are simply somewhere else. They may not realize that others are unaware of their inner activity. Although they appear very calm, quiet and reserved on the surface, there is much activity within. As children, Sirians may often be thought to have learning disorders or thought to have problems with their attention span.

This is due to the attraction of the inner world, which is often more interesting than that which is taught in Earth schools. They do best in learning when visual methods of teaching are used, and they are allowed hands on types of learning with freedom to move around and explore. These are children who benefit greatly from alternative schools, the are very intelligent but strong enough within to feel that if something does not interest them, they should not be required to learn about it.

Those from Sirius have a deep connection to the Earth and energies of nature. Many Sirians have had numerous lives as American Indians and maintain close ties and memories of these lives. They are very visual, both in their ability to see things which others do not, and in their manner of learning.

*Bald Women Are Beautiful, In More Ways Than One

>>><<<

I have a friend who is classically beautiful.

Until recently she had a mane of long dark hair.

She has had to come to terms with losing her hair and has courageously shaved her head around where her wound is and decided to face her loss with style. Amazingly, she is now even more beautiful. Her inner beauty shines forth and her face has a radiant beauty. She is a truly extraordinary young woman.

I decided to have a look around for other beauties who don’t rely on their hair.

>>><<<

Example 1 from ‘Kryptonian Warrior :

Question: Is A Woman With A Shaved Head Hot?

quote: “The answer to the post title above would be “yes”, if her name is Amber Rose…
Why did I (Krypton Warrior) ask the question? Well I’m a huge fan of women, as you’ll know if you read this blog regularly, and when a woman who stands out from the crowd comes along I like to point her out. Megan Fox has been pointed out on here more than most, and she stands out more than most simply because she’s stunning (some would argue of course), but with Kanye West’s girlfriend it’s a different matter. She’s not your average stunner who conforms to the norm. She’s as bald as I am, voluntarily, and is still super hot… It’s not that women who shave their Waaren’t hot, it’s just not something you see every day and are used to (unless you like Demi Moore in G.I. Jane).”
>>><<<

Example 2 from ‘Buzznet’:

Half Shaved Head- Who wore it and Who's wearing it Now photo 1

Rhiannon

Alice Dellal

British model Alice Dellal has been storming catwalks with this distinctive look. It goes rather well with her off the runway personal style. Dellal pairs her undercut with black leather jackets, combat boots and heavy, black eye liner creating a wild and rebellious image that’s inspiring young IT girls.

Buzznet.com correspondent and fashion enthusiast, Hanna Beth jumped on the trend stating in her blog that she loved Dellal’s look. Hanna writes, quote: “I have never been as happy with my hair as  am now.. I love it..” She and her best friend both took to the razor’s edge an adopted the edgy style. Even though the undercut can look rather punk rock, Hanna does an impeccable job of keeping this look very clean and feminine combining it with lacy blouses and leopard print outer wear.”

>>><<<

Example 3 from ‘Switchboard’:

On Memorial Day, West Virginia women shaved their heads on the steps of the state capitol in a call to end mountaintop removal mining. Today, a crowd cheered as more women (and several men) joined the call and sheared off their hair on Capitol Hill in Washington, DC.

As Appalachia Rising explains, “In Appalachia, a woman’s hair is her adornment, and in the native American community, women would sometimes shave their heads as a sign of mourning.” The cultural significance of women’s hair makes head-shaving a meaningful sacrifice. It was one that the participants were glad to make in exchange for some national attention to the ongoing destruction of mountains, streams, and communities through mountaintop removal. As one of the shorn activists said today,”My hair’s gonna grow back, but the mountains won’t.”

>>><<<

Well, it is one thing to choose to lose your hair, and quite another to have to face losing your hair through illness and fighting for your life. I have so much admiration for all those women – and men – who have found their courage and beauty through losing their hair – so all love and three cheers to a beautiful friend.

God Bless and here’s to strength, courage, style and beauty through adversity, but most of all to Life!
