Alberto Villoldo and the Inca Prophecies.

On 27^th April 2009, I went to hear Alberto Villoldo speak at the New Age meeting place, St James’s, Piccadilly, London.

I heard that they had sold out and the old Edwardian church would be packed with people eager to hear Alberto’s inside information on the Inca Prophecies.

The opening routine of ‘3 rhythms’ brought our hearts and minds together. First, three candles were lit, representing, Love, Wisdom and ‘Drawing from the well’, (Alberto’s choice). Second, we introduced ourselves to a stranger sitting nearby, with hand-shakes and smiles, and third, we held a three-minute silence.

Alberto introduced his young South American partner, Marcella, and then called the spirits of The Four Winds, which is the name of his school for shamanic practices, and the title of one of his books.

Calling the spirits is a world-wide practice of the indigenous people, to engage the aspects of Great Spirit, here on Earth. The four directions of the medicine wheel represent many different facets of wisdom, and are identified by a spirit animal helper.

The East is called first – the place of birth and enlightenment, new beginnings, the sunrise and the Eagle, or Condor. The South is the place of the Serpent, the flowing waters of the Earth and the growth through outer experience. Next, of course is the west, where we go inside like the setting sun, into the womb of the mother with the elusive Jaguar. In the north we call the Humming Bird and the Falcon, the grandmothers and grandfathers who are the wisdom keepers of the night and death. Then,  Pacha Mama, the Earth is honoured for her love and protection for all the animals – the furred and feathered, the finned and the creepy-crawlies. Finally we acknowledged  Father Sky, the Light and Life of the sun, and all the Star Nations – our relations.

The Inca, Maya, Apache, Hopi, Navajo, and many other indigenous Indian nations all have the same ‘prophecy’ in their teachings, passed down from generation to generation. They are optimistic and serve to remind us all of the natural 26,000-year cycle when Planet Earth is pulled back into alignment with our galaxy. The centre of the galaxy is a ‘black hole’, according to our astro-physicists, but to our ancestors it is the place of no-thing, no-one and no-time, so is held in our psyche as a place of fear and darkness.

The coming alignment heralds a new age, a golden age of peace and harmony, called the ‘Fifth Sun’, but like all good things we have to be ready to receive it. There will be all manner of changes – elemental, geological, social, human, physical, emotional and psychological, because we need to be prepared, made ready. Everyone will be affected and there will be no hiding place.

(I noticed here that Alberto was a bit breathless, and the microphone was not working too well.)

Aberto explained the old myths, of being cast out from Eden by the sin of woman, when the fate of man was to toil the land with thistles and thorns, in perpetual suffering; where evil only exists in the human world, which is predatory and dangerous; where time is linear and runs out at death, when it is a hell or heaven lottery; where medicine is all about protection from invasion; where humans have only fear and distrust of each other.

The new myths are for us to create. ‘God rested on the 7^th day’ means that God left the rest for us to create. When humans are in relationship with the natural world and our-selves, including the animals and micro-organisms, there is nothing to fear. When we realise that time is cyclical, life never ends and there is no death.

Alberto invited us to dream our own future. He suggested we could light a candle on the full moon and dream with the ancestors, the elders, for peace and purity. We can, he said, bless our food and water and purify what we eat and drink and stay healthy. We must learn to trust and not live in fear.

“Cancel the newspaper and switch off the TV!” he said. He has spent the last 20 years working and learning with shamen and they say it is time to ‘pachacuti’ – step out of time. We have to not only hear the prophecy but become the prophecy. “Get out of therapy and climb the mountain” he says, and we all laugh because we all know about the therapy! We know he’s right – we need to be outside in the elements to reconnect to the spirit of life.

Marcella took over to guide us through an exercise to enlighten our energy body. By putting our hands up above our heads we could feel the Light in the 8^th chakra and we then brought it down and around through our whole energy field (aura).

Alberto took the faulty mic. again and explained our DNA – the protein manufacturer of our body, and the mitochondrial DNA, which creates and regulates fuel. He explained that about 5% of our DNA is encoded with our evolutionary processes, including the negative patterns and mis-takes.

But 95% of our DNA is a “pool of possibilities” and creates an energetic magnetic field, (aura).

It is imperative that we remove these old patterns, and joked that there is a saying “if you don’t learn the lesson, you’ll end up marrying it!”. The next exercise was to finalise and release three past lives. The first ‘life’ was where we had used our time unwisely, the second was where we had not completed something, and the third was where we had used our gifts, and we would go back as our angel and take us safely and happily to our death in that lifetime.

Just before we started we were told that we could sign up for his trainings. This is an irritating habit of trainers on the circuit, which I thought was unnecessary, as anyone wanting to know and do more would naturally seek him out afterwards.

The shamanic journey was started by calling the jaguar and visualising 3 pebbles dropped in a pond, to invoke the images of the past lives we would work with.

Although Alberto concluded his talk early we only had a few minutes for questions:

Q. “What will happen after 2012?”

A. “Absolutely nothing! Be happy!”

He then continued by telling us about the lack of solar flares at the moment. He said when the flares start up again, when the Northern Lights will be dramatic, the ‘solar plasma’ will increase and we can receive the new ‘codes’ by facing and looking at the sun and absorbing the new energy. (I didn’t hear a warning about possible eye damage, but I guess you are all sensible enough to go with caution).

Alberto confirmed for us that after this the world will not be the same – “nothing like it was before” – but we have to “dream the dream”. “The only safe place will be inside”, he says.

My thoughts -

That is why, in our internal reality, in our consciousness and perception, we are being guided, on all levels, to increase our conscious perception. It is absolutely imperative to be totally aware of how the energy of our time works, how every thought word and deed has an effect on everyone and everything else.

This is becoming common knowledge – for precisely that purpose. Like it or not, (and you’d be a fool to pass up this golden opportunity), your perception of everything will change. It will change despite your opinion on it. You will change. As a butterfly has to change, from the pupa in the chrysalis, to emerge with its beautiful wings to fly, so we will change.

I came away wondering what we all wanted to hear from Alberto. What is it that we are all waiting to hear? Was there anything new that I had learned?

In hearing essentially the same message as I have heard many times before, I realised this:

By listening to this message, more than once, hearing it over and over again, and more and more people talking about it and thinking about it, it is becoming a reality. It is a self-fulfilling prophecy. And that is a good thing, I think, because the world cannot go on the way it is. Something has to change. It may as well be us, and the way we think. But after the prophecy, after the dream, after the vision of the future, must come the action…
